“Destroy this temple…”
John 2:19
Jesus answered and said unto them, “Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.”
Thoreau said, “Every man is the builder of a temple, called his body, to the god he worships, after a style purely his own, nor can he get off by hammering marble instead. We are all sculptors and painters, and our material is our own flesh and blood and bones. Any nobleness begins at once to refine a man’s features, any meanness or sensuality to imbrute them.”
-Henry David Thoreau, Walden
There is a force to be tapped that brings health and vitality and clarity beyond what is thought possible by most. That flow is optimized by practicing the virtues and connecting to the Source (in a perfectly imperfect way).
The connection is broken, and the temple is “imbruted” and dis-eased by ignoring timeless practices.
The 1-3-5 Plan:
Fast on juice or water 1 day per week.
Walk 3 miles
Eat 5 fruits and vegetables.
Practice the virtue of the week:
Cleanliness: Tolerate no uncleanliness in body, clothes, or habitation.
Read John 1-3
I hope this message helps.
Sincerely,
Charles
