I’ve been writing these strategies, some days, over the past ten years.
Sometimes I share them here on this website, and sometimes I share them by email (see the opt-in form at the bottom of this page).
They’ve been read 100’s thousands of times, and sometimes people follow just some of the advice… and they tell me that it changes their life for the better in dramatic ways.
These daily strategies are not my ideas; they are only my curation of ideas and my systematic display of ideas that have been taught for thousands of years in every scripture and by every truly wise and healthy person.
Each daily strategy includes 3 things:
- My “1,3,5” plan for optimal health.
- Takes you through Benjamin Franklin’s definition of the virtues. You review one virtue per week; you go through all the 13 virtues 4 times in a year (as he planned when he was a teenager and the one practice that he attributed to contributing the most to his success–born poor, died rich; inventor, statesman, and revolutionary who risked his life to start an organization called the United States of America).
- Takes you on a reading plan where, in a year’s time, you read the Old Testament once and the New Testament twice of the Holy Bible. Franklin seldom went to church. But he and his friends studied the Holy Bible for its wisdom. I try to take out the expansions of individual sects (Catholic, Baptist, Lutheran, Jewish, Methodist) and look for the eternal truth as far upstream and as clean as I can see it–especially looking for that truth that might improve health (there is MUCH there if you look).
I mostly write the 365 Health Strategies as reminders to me. I also subscribe to the emails (and read my reminders, which after being written, are repeated once a year on the same day). Sometimes I follow the advice, and I’m always glad when I do. But, sometimes I don’t follow the advice, and that’s worth noticing too, and then I’m glad when I notice what I failed to do, so at least maybe tomorrow I will be happier, healthier, and more aware.
And then there are my sons and my grandsons. One day, I will not be on this planet to talk with them, and maybe they will wonder what I thought about how to live a happy and healthy life. So, mostly I write these lessons as reminders to myself and as a record for my grandsons.
But others tell me that these lessons helped them improve their lives, and I am always honored and even surprised to hear when that happens. I do not think of myself as the most intelligent or holy person (very far from it). But, I have been taking notes (for four decades) about what I have noticed in my life and in the lives of thousands of my patients about how to live a healthy, peaceful, prosperous, and fun life, and I share some of those notes here in these 365 Health Strategies.
I hope you find the strategies helpful! Please let me know if you do (and share the lessons with others). You can also find an expansion of the ideas in my books on Amazon and on my other websites (which will be mentioned in the lessons).
Very best of peace & health,
